Our Story
History of the Movement
Lagosians in Diaspora for Asiwaju (LIDA) was formally recognised by the All Progressives Congress as an official Support Group on 20 September 2022, following approval by National Chairman Sen. Abdullahi Adamu.
In October 2022, LIDA was admitted as a member of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG). On 19 January 2023, AASG issued LIDA’s Certificate of Registration.
Today, LIDA continues as a global platform of Lagosians abroad — organising chapters, civic engagement, and support for progressive continuity in Lagos State, including endorsement of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for Governor in 2027.
